目前我正在讀着Lisa See的Snow Flower and the Secret Fan。這本書是在講述一位年老的婦人在回憶她种种的過去。這位夫人叫Lily（英文的譯名），她是在清朝道光三年出世的。書裏有講述她的母親怎樣在她七嵗的時候開始給她纏腳。當我在網上看到這張照片之後，更讓我了解到整個纏腳的過程。聼起來的確是很殘忍，但是以當時的年代和處境來説都是逼不得已的。
